Schleswig-Holstein's Environment Minister learns the background to the large-scale hydrogen project HySCALE100 while visiting Raffinerie Heide

Managing Director Jürgen Wollschläger informs the Minister about the qualification of the large-scale hydrogen project HySCALE100 for possible funding within the framework of the European initiative IPCEI (Important Project of Common European Interest).

Hemmingstedt, June 14, 2021 – Today Schleswig-Holstein’s Minister of Energy, Agriculture, the Environment, Nature and Digitalization Jan Philipp Albrecht visited Raffinerie Heide to find out about the HySCALE100 project.  End of May, the joint project application of Holcim Deutschland GmbH, Hynamics Deutschland GmbH,  Ørsted Wind Power Germany GmbH and Raffinerie Heide GmbH had been approved for the next stage for a funding in the field of hydrogen technologies from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMV) as part of the European initiative IPCEI (Important Project of Common European Interest). This makes the project one of three projects in Schleswig-Holstein that are being examined by the ministries and prepared for examination at European level.
